Cross Roads House Celebrates Special Donation: A New Website

By Jessica Parker

We are proud to unveil the new and improved Cross Roads House website — www.crossroadshouse.org — a state-of-the-art online experience designed for our residents, staff, donors, volunteers, and community partners.

The new website was donated by Vital, a local digital marketing agency that specializes in website design and development, as well as inbound marketing strategy.

Building a website is not typically something a non-profit like ours can budget for, so thank you to Vital for your very generous in-kind donation.

Built on a WordPress CMS platform — the new site is easy to access and update with new announcements and information. The upgraded website also ensures our non-profit is more accessible to the public; it includes several new features that allow us to better tell our story and spread our message to the community.

New features include:

A Daily Ticker — This new feature allows us to give daily updates on the number of individuals, families, and children Cross Roads House sheltered the night before.

An All-Encompassing Navigation — This improved navigation addresses not only the population that most needs our help, but it also welcomes volunteers and donors to get more information, donate or volunteer, and it tells our story, gives updates, and helps people get in touch.

An Easy-to-Update Blog — An easy-to-use blog means we can share our message in a far more contemporary fashion — giving us the ability to more effectively ask for help and provide updates to the community, while offering visitors the ability to engage with our content through sharing and email links.

And that’s just the beginning. We now have an enhanced video gallery to share compelling stories and a more informative FAQ section for people looking for answers to common questions. The site is built to scale — meaning we can add sections as our mission grows and our needs change.

Perhaps most important, opportunities to help Cross Roads House — or to reach out for help — are only one click away.

We look forward to continuing to work with companies like Vital to enhance our online presence and better tell our story to the community.
