Cross Roads House is pleased to introduce Anna Kay Vorsteg as its next Executive Director. Ms. Vorsteg will succeed outgoing Executive Director Will Arvelo, effective March 24, 2024.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors of Cross Roads House, and the Hiring Committee, I am excited to announce that we have hired Anna Kay Vorsteg as our new Executive Director, “ said Chuck Silva, Cross Roads Board President. “As the result of her many years leading the American Youth Foundation, coupled with her active service in our Seacoast community on many non-profit boards and action committees, Anna Kay possesses the insight and skills needed to help lead Cross Roads House into the future as the challenges to our mission continue to evolve.
“Anna Kay is a decisive leader, a skilled advocate, and an excellent team-builder. She will bring great passion and extensive expertise to the good work of Cross Roads House.”
“I am extremely excited to join the team at Cross Roads House, “ added Ms. Vorsteg. “As a long-time resident of the Seacoast, no issue has spoken to me with more resonance or urgency than our community’s concerns with housing insecurity. I see in the mission and the executive director position at Cross Roads House the opportunity to combine my passion and expertise with the organization’s highly regarded capabilities for the greatest possible good. I admire and applaud Cross Roads for its history of impact and recognize the exciting milestone this moment presents, and I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to lead this organization.”
Outgoing Executive Director Will Arvelo is giving his full support to this transitional process. “We are hugely indebted to Will for his steady leadership during the search process, and applaud his generous continued support of an orderly transition, “ Silva added. “His leadership of this organization over the past four years has left us with a strong balance sheet, an engaged staff, and passionate support throughout the Seacoast. He leaves with our gratitude and deepest admiration.”
Dr. Arvelo added, “Having spent time with Anna Kay, I am certain that Cross Roads House will be more than capably served under her leadership. Her skill and her passion are clear, and I am pleased to be handing over the reins to someone I am confident will continue the good work we have strived to perform both during and prior to my tenure. It has been an honor to lead this amazing organization, and I leave with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the mission will continue to be executed with skill and compassion. I look forward to assisting Anna Kay during her transition.”
“Together with the leadership team, staff, and Board – as well as our many generous donors and volunteers – I will strive to carry forward the good work Cross Roads has pursued over the past two decades, “ continued Ms. Vorsteg. “There is much to learn and much to do, and I am eager to begin.”
