Since 1982, Cross Roads House has provided emergency shelter and supportive services that make a profound impact in the lives of men, women, and children experiencing homelessness in the Greater Seacoast area.
Located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Cross Roads House provides safe emergency and transitional shelter for families and individuals experiencing homelessness. As one of the largest homeless shelters in the state, we serve hundreds of people annually. We provide our residents with safe shelter, nutritious meals, basic needs, 24/7 on-site direct care staff, individualized case management, and the supportive services needed to find permanent housing.

The Executive Director is responsible for the overall management and direction of the organization in accordance with its vision and mission. The Executive Director provides oversight and overall management, planning, vision, and leadership for all aspects of Cross Roads House including programs and services, finance, human resources, fundraising, communications, community relations, and board development. The Executive Director assumes a leadership role throughout the state in partnering with businesses, foundations, government officials, other nonprofits, and supporters in pursuit of our mission. The Executive Director works with the Board and Board Committees to establish vision, policies, strategic focus, priorities, new initiatives, and general scope of programs.
