Volunteer.

The success at Cross Roads House would not be possible without the help of volunteers. Whether you can give a couple of hours a week or a couple hours a month, we would appreciate your time and energy. We typically need help in these areas:

Soup Kitchen - Help run meals that are provided five nights a week; prepare food; serve meals to residents; and assist with organization of food donations and kitchen.

Maintenance Support - Assist with general maintenance of buildings and work with residents on larger projects. Persons skilled in trades such as electrical, plumbing, and carpentry are always needed!

Special Events - Help organize and staff special events both at Cross Roads House and in the surrounding community.

Many volunteers will be needed on Sunday, November 9, 2008 to help out with the Seacoast Half Marathon. The race is donating all proceeds to Cross Roads House this year. Join us to help with pre-race preparations, registration, help guide the runners and control traffic out on the course or feed the hungry runners back at Portsmouth High School where the race ends.
