Our 6th Annual Benefit by the Sea Event is sold out.

On Saturday, May 10, 2008 our 6th Annual Benefit by the Sea event will be held at the Wentworth by the Sea Hotel in New Castle, NH. This is our most important fundraising event of the year and proceeds will support shelter operations and contribute towards our effort to rebuild our facility. This fabulous evening will start with cocktails at 6:00 pm, followed by a formal dinner at 7:30 pm, video presentation, pledge opportunity, and live music by Ben Baldwin and the Big Note. PLEASE NOTE: our event has already sold out for 2008.

Last year the Seacoast Half Marathon raised over $45,000. This year all proceeds from the race will be donated to Cross Roads House. Registration for the 2008 Seacoast Half Marathon is now open. This year's race takes place on November 9th, starting and finishing at Portsmouth High School. The 13.1 mile race course takes runners and competitive walkers along a coastal route that includes parts of Rye, New Castle, and Portsmouth. The organizing committee has capped the number of entrants to 1,200, as they did last year, to keep the race at a level that allows the great finish line feast, courtesy of many local food sponsors, and to control the impact on traffic and the local neighborhoods. Last year's Seacoast Half marathon sold out shortly after Labor Day, and this year's race is expected to fill even sooner, due to the popularity of the event. Organizers urge runners to register early to avoid being shut out of this year's race. Runners and competitive walkers can register for the race online at www.seacoasthalfmarathon.com or in person at Runner's Alley at 104 Congress St. in downtown Portsmouth. Volunteers will be needed on race day and can sign up at the race website. Sponsorship opportunities for the Seacoast Half Marathon are still available. On May 5, 2007 Cross Roads House held its 5th annual Benefit by the Sea at the Wentworth by the Sea Hotel. This sold out event was the most successful in our history raising over $220,000. The proceeds were used to fund operations, providing shelter, food and assistance to the homeless in our community. We'd like to thank the many individuals and businesses who sponsored the benefit as well as the guests who made donations the night of the event. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

Cross Roads House held its 6th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, September 25, 2006 at the Wentworth by the Sea Country Club and set a new record for this event by raising over $24,000.
